Abstract

Innovative processes in the technological field, such as computerization, informatization, digitalization, involve lecturers and students in virtual interaction, that consequences are difficult to predict. Models of universities, means, forms and methods of teaching are evolving. The formation of a digital educational environment is the most important trend in the modernization of higher education, and digital technologies are becoming an integral part of the educational process. Distance learning enters the phase of active development, and the principles of learning continuity and individualization are implemented within its framework. The introduction of digital technologies in the educational process led to a change in the basic role of the teacher - from a source of knowledge to a mentor, a moderator of the educational process. At the same time, digital literacy is becoming one of the key factors of competitiveness in the information society. All these changes, which are characterized by a fast and ubiquitous spread, require a timely assessment in terms of their impact on the educational process and its subjects in the context of digitalization of higher education. The research carried out brings closer understanding and further work in this direction.
