MOTIVATIONAL CRITERION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF STUDYING DISCIPLINE «HYDRAULICS AND PETROLEUM HYDROMECHANICS»)

Abstract
The article explains the significance of students’ competences development at technical university on the example of the module «Hydraulics and petroleum hydromechanics». The module is taught for BSc-students of the major «Oil and gas». The author speaks about the necessity of increasing students’ motivation to educational activity. The author describes the development of motivation criterion of professional competence. There are three levels of development: low, medium and high. The article analyses and describes the content of all three levels of motivational criterion development and examines the results of the survey to identify the level of motivation among the students of day and correspondence forms of training. Describes the applicable point-rating system, introduced in the educational process of the University and to enhance students ‘ motivation to learning activities.
