Abstract
Introduction. The development of academic mobility and inclusive education programs highlights the issue of effectively integrating foreign students into the educational environment. Academic success is directly linked to the quality and speed of adaptation processes. In academic discourse, adaptation is understood as a multi-level phenomenon encompassing psychophysiological, socio-psychological, academic, and sociocultural aspects. In this context, the search for didactic tools that facilitate the successful integration of foreign students into a new environment becomes particularly significant. This work is devoted to analyzing the potential of foreign language learning tasks as a tool for optimizing the adaptation period. Purpose setting. The aim of the study is to identify and substantiate the influence of learning tasks on the adaptation process of foreign students, as well as to determine their role in integrating students into the university environment. Methodology and methods of the study. The methodology was based on surveys, interviews, and an analysis of task types in terms of their adaptive potential. Results. The results showed that adaptation difficulties, while universal in nature, acquire specific characteristics specifically in the context of foreign language classes. Conclusion. The outcomes of the research can be used by instructors to optimize their work in multi-ethnic groups and improve the quality of training for foreign students.
