Factors influencing social identity in contexts of higher education

Abstract

The article describes and endorses factors influencing social identity in the sphere of higher education on an experimental basis. The author distinguishes three essential cognitive motivational components; they are basic component, personal component and professional one. The main factors include higher education; personal traits (focus on self-recipience, self-respect, inherent value, self-management, the inner world, the perception of social environment requirements); the significance of current or future professional activity. The paper characterizes each corresponding factor.
