<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Introduction. Higher education is being transformed under the influence of the widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), which creates risks of reduced criticality and reflective skills among students. In contrast to previous studies focusing on workload and implementation algorithms, this research focuses on students’ reflective strategies. Purpose setting. The aim is an in-depth analysis of students’ reflective practices when using GenAI in project-based activities, including self-assessment of responsibility, editing strategies, and differentiated content quality evaluation. Methodology and methods of the study. The study is based on a mixed post-experience methodology using an adapted NASA-TLX questionnaire and an author-designed survey. The sample consists of 64 students who completed a business «packaging» project using GenAI. Results. A gap was identified between declared responsibility (92 %) and the actual depth of content revision (32 % make less than 30 % changes). The main reason for editing (75 %) was the AI’s inability to account for specific contextual nuances. Only 25 % of students use metacognitive strategies. Conclusion. The pedagogical task is to organize a learning environment where GenAI enhances learning but does not replace students’ reflective and critical  thinking.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>генеративный искусственный интеллект</kwd><kwd>рефлексивный опыт</kwd><kwd>проектная работа</kwd><kwd>NASA-TLX</kwd><kwd>промпт-инжиниринг</kwd><kwd>высшее образование</kwd><kwd>качество генерации</kwd><kwd>ответственность студента</kwd><kwd>метакогнитивные стратегии</kwd><kwd>критическое мышление</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>generative AI</kwd><kwd>reflective experience</kwd><kwd>project-based work</kwd><kwd>NASA-TLX</kwd><kwd>prompt engineering</kwd><kwd>higher education</kwd><kwd>generation quality</kwd><kwd>student responsibility</kwd><kwd>metacognitive strategies</kwd><kwd>critical thinking</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Зайцева М.
